Nicolas Belfrage: Middle-of-the-road, typical Brunello with firm acid and some drying tannins but not without fruit. Drink from 2012. 14
Roy Richards Toasty and ripe, this has a rusty attack but very sweet, almost sickly fruit. There is a fundamental disharmony between the tannin and the jamminess. 10
Franco Ziliani: Ruby-violet, brilliant color. The nose is dense, rich, well-focused on ripe fruit (cherry and plum), dried flowers, aromatic herbs (particularly rosemary), some leather and meat. Luscious, fleshy fruit, solid tannins, good energy, has complexity and richness and a long persistent finish full of savor. Well-balanced, still young with a good ageing potential. 17
