BB | Ruby to garnet. Exuberant, red-cherry and herbal nose, with some new oak, meat, and crushed stones. Medium-bodied, soft, slightly overripe palate, with only moderate length. 89
MP | Very attractive nose, with a beguiling combination of hawthorn, dog rose, tinned strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, licorice, incense, cinnamon, clove, forest floor, and dried leaves. This is equally impressive on the palate, with superbly ripe and fine tannins combined with refreshing acidity and a lingering finish driven by the wine's structure but also by its concentration of fruit. There is no doubt that this will age majestically for many years. 98
AJ | Pale and translucent by comparison with many of its peers. Aromatic warmth here, pushing at the fruits to slightly uncomfortable effect; just a little volatile. Both sweet yet a little bitter, without much in the middle to reconcile the two forces. A concentrated and, in a way, impressive wine, but unlovable in flavor terms. 83
