Nicolas Belfrage: Correct, some orange on rim. Clean, attractive fruit (plum/prune) aromas. Quite structured with firm acidity and tannins, has concentration and length. Slight bitter twist typical of Sangiovese on finish. 2011–2020. 14

Roy Richards Floral, peony with sweet spice. Promising, second nose and palate suggests slight taint. My guess would be TCA rather than cork. Pity. Second bottle not tainted. Simple, floral, good fruit, not grand. 12

Franco Ziliani: Ruby-violet color of a good intensity. The nose is typical Tuscan Mediterranean: dried flowers, aromatic herbs, peppery, plum and cherry notes with hints of mint and leather. Good complexity and freshness, very appealing. The palate is slightly disappointing, has a good structure, with solid tannins, but not total harmony and balance and the finish is dry and bitter, with a strange impression of something that doesn’t belong to wine. The winemaker’s hand, perhaps... 14
