BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: A good blast of cherry-strawberry on the nose. A wine of some intensity, with firm structure and plenty of sweet, moreish fruit on the palate. Fills the mouth, intense and long. Drink from 2019. 92

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to this tawny rim. Concentrated, closed, black-fruit nose, with leather, prunes, black cherries, and hints of crushed stones. Round, sweet palate, with clean black and red fruit and a lively finish. Just a touch one-dimensional at present—time will tell. 91

Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. A snipped-privet, green, keroseney tone to the fruits here, but this provides some aromatic lift and perfume if not a sense of perfect ripeness. The same is true of the palate— and for me, this greenness is a slight blemish, though some may enjoy it. It is still a well-crafted and long-flavored wine with a satisfactory tannic spine. 82
