BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Very deep, almost opaque. Quite oaky on nose, expensive oak. Creamy morello cherry palate, good but not excessive acidity, plentiful but soft tannins. Made to please a lot of people without losing typicity. 16

Roy Richards Some sweet oak here – aniseed, spice, very polished with furry tannins. At present the wood dominates the fruit. Marked down because of this. 13

Franco Ziliani: Impression of an absurd premature evolution, overripe fruit, jam, with too much sweetness and too many oaky toasted notes. The palate is very rich, but completely lacking in balance and elegance, with layers of ripe fruit, bitter tannins. A modern stupid wine. 11
