Nicolas Belfrage: Wood and a herbal note coming through on the nose, but a hint of reduction. Good fruit behind, but not sure where this wine is going. 87
Bruno Besa: Garnet to ruby. Unfortunately, the wine is dominated by reduction on the nose, which is a shame, since the palate is complex, firm, and long. 85
Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Bottle 1: Intensely drainsy. Bottle 2: Lacks aromatic focus but has plenty of warm red-fruit conviction. Vivid, sweet, and rounded on the palate, with some backing tannin: redcurrant, red-plum, and raspberry fruits take the lead. Good at this level, so all that holds it back from a top score is the lack of aromatic finesse. Generously constituted nonetheless. 85
