Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby/red. Still youthful. aromatic, red and black fruits, scented, with a savory undertone. rich, ripe, sweet style, verging on amarone. The high alcohol comes through on the palate, too, but this is a wine with a lot of flavor. It just finishes a little overripe. 14.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep, attractive. Inviting sandalwood and wild- cherry aromas. Forward, fruity, very sour cherry, lovely acid-fruit balance, ripe tannins. Drinking now but will improve, since it has a good 12 years in it. 17

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to orange. Intense, mature, and complex nose of small black fruit with cedarwood, prunes, leather, and hints of tobacco. mature, full body, a touch jammy, fairly long. 15.5
