Nicolas Belfrage: Deepish, with oranging rim. Intriguing nose of herb, spice, and gingerbread. Quite good followthrough on the palate, with nice concentration of aromatic components held in place by firm tannic and adequate acid structure. Good length. 16

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to pink; orange rim. Open red-fruit nose, with toffee and aromatic herbs and quite a bit of oak at this stage. Medium to full body, with sweet cassis-fruit palate and considerable tannic structure. Needs time. 16

Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Lifted, lively red fruits with a shake of sweet vanilla. Fresh, smooth, lively, soft, and toothsome, but not a grand Brunello in any sense. 13
