Stephen Brook: A ripe style of Riesling on the nose, with admirable apricot fruit and a light minerality to counter the weight of fruit. Plump and weighty without being clumsy or heavyhanded, since the firm acidity gives the wine support and structure. There’s a sweet-andsour quality I find appealing, though it may confuse other palates. Despite the density of fruit, there is also an appealing succulence. Good length. 16.5
Alison Buchanan: Golden in color, this presents a nose rich in ripe, seemingly old-vine fruit, evoking orchard-fruit compote, quince, and stony minerals. Lusciously textured, with both minerals and acidity in support, this could develop further. It is a little buttoned up, with a slight disparity between the nose and palate in terms of maturity, though the palate echoes the nose in a more subdued way. Rather singular in style, this may be a love-it-or-hate-it wine. 15.5
Anthony Rose: Pale limey green in color, this is attractively citrussy on the nose, with some exotic zesty and spritz-fresh qualities. On the palate, it is dry, with some attractive citrus-zesty fruit freshness, albeit not rich within the context of this tasting. It’s nicely balanced overall and would make a great summer’s day wine for roast cod, hake, or halibut16
