Michael Schuster: Dense, closed, blackcurrant and mineral; rich, vivid, with a vital defining acidity and a very fine, but clearly firm, tannin; crisply, sweetly ripe to taste, intense, aromatic, with a wonderfully intense fruit core, very long and complex across the palate, very subtle, very discreet, but a wine of great distinction and class, all contained power, with lovely, fragrant persistence. A beautiful, longterm aristocrat. 2030–50+. 95–97
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: More virile and energetic at birth than the 2015, and built on firm tannins, mineral, as we like them at this property. 98
