Michael Schuster: Fine and fragrant, ripe fruit and minerals nose; full, fresh to vital in acidity, fairly concentrated, and finely, firmly tannic; sweetly ripe red fruit in flavor, long and fine and vivid, a touch of tannic sinew, sapid, juicy, fragrant and elegant, and with a lovely fruit and perfume persistence. Relatively long-term, but very good. 2026–36. 90–92
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great personality, notes of cedar and tobacco, a slightly stronger minerality than in the grand vin (but with less intensity and refinement in the texture). A very complete wine. 96
