Andrew Jefford: woven seamlessly into this; hard to see how the aromas of this wine could get any more harmonious, even with more cellar slumber. Remarkably thick, billowing tannins lift rather than freight the palate. How can this be? The fruit seems unusually glycerous, rapt with ripeness, and it’s that creamy grace that helps cheat gravity and convert weight into vapor.
