Andrew Jefford: undergrowth. There’s a core of firm, meaty fruit to this, and another mouthful of chewy tannins, with a little more sap and firmness than in 2006, and less overall wealth than either 2006 or 2007. This wine I would leave for a little longer, until the sinews relax a little further.
