Stephen Brook: Odd cardboardy nose, probably from filtration. Unusually lush and broad for Filhot, with ample stone fruits and oranges, too. Firm if modest acidity, but little persistence. Four-square, lacks excitement and vigor, though has a bit more personality than many recent vintages from Filhot. Orangey finish. Medium length. 15

Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; dumb, waxy; rich and concentrated and lively, an excellent long-term balance; intensely sweet, vivid flavor with a citrus and mineral element behind the very high level of sugar; very liquorous character nicely cut by its acidity, quite complex, and elegant too, and with excellent length. An exceptional Filhot. 16.5
