James Lawther: Deep, dark color still. More reticent and austere than the other Ausones in the tasting. Medium-bodied, even a touch lean, but linear and firmly structured. Misses some gras to flesh out the structure. Hence a bit angular and dry on the finish. Needs more time but will it ever soften? 2014–24. 17
