Michael Schuster: Freshly sweet, ripe red-fruit nose, gently oaky, fragrant; full, fairly concentrated, fresh in acidity, very fine, if firm, in tannin, beautifully balanced; sweet-fruited, rich yet restrained, fleshy textured, intense, racy, and long across the palate, and with a fine, long, fruit-fragrant aftertaste. Very complete wine, classic Pomerol elegance, typical Conseillante restraint. Perhaps this just has the edge over its splendid 2015? But especially at this early stage it is really too close to call. 2028–40+. 94–96
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great elegance and richness of texture, long and velvety, with refined depth, this is certainly the greatest La Conseillante of the 21st century. 97–98
