Jesús Barquín: Straw yellow. The nose is slightly pungent, a tad spirity, fresh almonds, hay bale. The palate is fresh, very dry, with flavors that match the nose. Good commercial Fino. 91

Andrew Jefford: Pale to mid-gold. Strange aromas—faintly animal and Band-Aidy; unclassical. Bottle 2: Less troubled, but rather blank and flat. On the palate, this is soft, basic stuff with plenty of flor character, but some kind of handling issue perhaps? I could happily drink bottle 2, though it doesn’t have the aromatic enchantment for a good score. 83

Peter Liem: This is savory and flor-driven, with a sappy, chewy intensity. It’s intense in personality, if a little brash and uneducated, and while it’s appealing for its assertiveness, it stops midway through the palate—its filtration makes it feel chopped off at the knees. 84
