Neil Beckett: 1997 Medium-deep ruby, oxblood toward the rim. Authentic, faintly rustic, Pinot scent, lightly exotic spice, maturing fruit sweetness, sandalwood, and tangerine. Intensely fruited on the mid-palate, well balanced by brisk, well-integrated acidity and fully resolved, supportive tannins. Dry but not drying on the end finish, of good length. Drink to 2012. 15.5
