Simon Field: Intense, almost salty nose: high-toned and slightly singed. The palate has all elements pleasingly in situ, but slightly out of focus perhaps? 15

Richard Mayson: Mid-deep red-tinged mahogany. Attractive, pungent, lifted aromas with plenty of complexity. Lovely clean, rich, dried-fruit flavors; figs and apricots with allspice on the finish. Clean and complex. A good, well-balanced 40-year-old. 16.5

Margaret Rand: Elegant nose and a pungent palate: toffee and citrus and coffee. Very long finish, all toffee and orange. 16.5
