Jesús Barquín:More tiresome and overripe in style, with a note of moldy oranges. Pungent and lively on the palate, it echoes the aromas suggested by the nose. 13.5
Richard Mayson:Very deep, opaque; high-toned, underripe, green-leaf aromas; similarly on the palate, green fruit and hard tannins, disjointed right the way through to the finish. Nothing faulty—just one-dimensional and rather green and underripe. 11
Charles Metcalfe:Rich, dark, florally perfumed, complex. Terrific intensity and drive, with lovely acidity, firm but ripe tannins, and wonderful dark fruit. This has treacly intensity but balanced by wonderful freshness. Very impressive wine that should evolve very well in bottle. Dark, intriguing length. 18.5
