Neil Beckett:Deep ruby. An ample, loose-knit, open bouquet that blossomed further in the glass; initially, damp earth and the first hint of truffles that will become headier over the years; then intensely meaty and spicy. Dense and rich on the mid-palate, saturated and sustained, but still with bright acidity ensuring elegance, and a fine, floral finish of excellent, straight length. A wine that confirms the excellent reputation of the vintage on the Right Bank.
