Jasper Morris: A lighter color from a less ripe vintage, though the Clos avoided the hail that afflicted other parts of Pommard. Benjamin gave the wine 23 months’ élevage, the last few in tank without much CO2, in order to oxidize a slight greenness. He has been successful, though this might also explain the slightly more evolved color.
