Jasper Morris: (magnum) Immaculate, rich, youthful purple. The nose remains very backward—this has at least ten years to go. Why not 50 or more? There is a complete sense of harmony about this wine. There is a sumptuous wealth of glorious, purple fruit. Very suave yet with enormous energy; the tannins are completely polymerized. “My first baby,” said Benjamin, who took over during the late summer. One might say this great wine was conceived by Pascal Marchand but brought to bed by Benjamin.
