Jasper Morris: Again a bright color with a brick edge, fresh and lively. Sensual, fine, almost smoky; astonishing delicacy without being even slightly fragile. A huge pleasure just to go on sniffing at this wine, which partnered beautifully the noix de ris de veau rôtie, girolles et pomme de terre fondante au poivre. Very hard to separate the ’59 and ’62 at first, but the ’59 kept building in the glass. Glorious wine, with plenty still to offer.
