Jesús Barquín:Intense reddish amber. This is sweetish on the nose: sugar-coated pumpkin, stewed figs, and a touch of roasted pistachio. On the palate, the very sweet character is confirmed, as well as the intensity of flavors. Impressive and ideal for matching with suitable desserts, though a little too evident compared with other finer examples of the category. 91
Andrew Jefford:Clear and translucent, but just a little bit redder than some of its peers. Very sweet and almost sexy, with a kind of kirschy cherry fruit sheen to it—hard to say no. Light and graceful in the mouth, and very much a balance between the smooth, succulent cherryish refinement the young wine once had and the darker complexities of age. Just lacks a little bit of middle-palate support. But an attractive and enjoyable 20 Year Old that could take a chill before summer service. 89
Richard Mayson:Lovely bright amber-tawny hue all the way through; soft, creamy milk-chocolate character on the nose, nicely melded; lovely, soft, savory character, fine, almost seamless, with spicy piquancy toward the finish. Lovely creamy length. 86
