Jesús Barquín:Ruby, with orange-amber rim. Slightly dusty nose at first, opening up to cinnamon and peppermint over a background of candied fruit, never on the intense side. More expressive on the palate, with intense flavors of candied fruit, pleasant balance between sugar and (perceptible) alcohol, and a long and pleasant finish. 88

Andrew Jefford:Deep in color. Sweet, warm, generous, unrefined, but gratifying barley sugar and hessian. Smell of the warehouse! Deep and generous but a little bit soupy in style. 82

Richard Mayson:Quite deep in hue for a 10 Year Old; thin tawny rim. Full, fresh, fruit-driven aromas, with some suave secondary character; very rich and sweet in style, spicy even slightly peppery fruit, with more than a touch of tannic grip on the finish. A touch soupy and lacking in definition and finesse. 85
