Michael Schuster: Sweetly ripe fruit to smell; well enough balanced in an oak-firm style; a fine, pure, quality fruit core, delicate and complex and fragrant, but with that fine fruit dried (for me anyway) by an excess of new-oak tannin; finishes grippy-textured but with both fruit persistence and fragrance. Really fine quality marred by excess oak— whether quantity or quality. This could be lovely if only it were less oakily astringent. 2018–30 16.5 ?
