Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Cherry compote and liquorice on the nose, a bit cooked. Soft, rounded, plump, juicy, a bit livelier than the nose suggests, with decent acidity, though it does tail off on the finish. Slightly weak on the mid-palate, and the tannins are quite furry, but perfectly acceptable, if not much flair or excitement. Quite good length. 16
Stephen Browett: Medium to light color. Slightly cooked on the nose. Concentrated on the palate but not jammy. There is plenty of chewy fruit but a hint of bubble gum. 13.5
Michael Schuster: Dark purple; closed, lightly mineraly nose; nicely balanced medium-full wine, with a fine, dry tannin; fresh, ripe fruit, modest complexity, but nice length, a good Côtes St-Emilion, accessible soon. Well made, very attractive. From 2008. 15
