BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A brilliant success for the Bécot brothers. The wine is noble, deep, and savory, one of the outstanding wines of the year. 17

Michael Schuster: Dense, mineral, and very ripe black fruit nose; rich, vivid, fleshy wine, ripe and sweet in fruit with a fairly oak-dry tannin texture at present, which pinches the wine a bit on the finish, spicy medium length. More concentrated than fine, but good if you like the concentrated garage style. 2014–20. 15
