BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Excellent color. After bottling, the nose is far cleaner than before and true to the tradition of the growth, with plum undertones and rich creamy texture. Spicy in the finish, with a hint—but only a hint—of animal undertones. Pleasant wine made with ripe berries, which explains some cherry-chocolate notes. But real grip is missing. 15.5

Thierry Desseauve: Serious and elegant wine, with fresh berry aromas and fine tannins. Decent length, excellent balance. 16

Michael Schuster: Ripe blackberry-fruit nose, early bouquet; nicely balanced, fresh, supple, lightly tannic medium-full wine; sweet, ripe, fleshy flavor of moderate complexity, with a gently spicy, resonant finish; good rather than special. Its ripeness and texture will make this accessible early. 2012–24. 16
