Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: a classic wine from this terroir, wholly integrated and complete. Firm tannins, great length, and majestic power. as with Lafite, it needs 12–15 years before it will come into place, truly justifying its score and its price. 19

Michael Schuster: dense, freshly ripe fruit and minerals; perfectly balanced, concentrated wine, with a well-integrated fresh acidity and beautifully textured, super-fine tannins; svelte middleweight Latour; long, ripe, juicy, and open in fruit, not particularly dense but with a lovely mineral-infused quality, great length of flavor, and splendid perfume; a gently mouth-filling, throat-coating wine of great poise and presence, rather than great power. top Left bank wine, and one of the wines of the vintage. 2025–45+. 18.5
