Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Beautifully suave finesse, not heavy or over the top; discreet floral notes of coconut milk; the finish is fresh and silky. 17
Michael Schuster: dense and ripe- fruited nose, the wood quite clear at the moment; elegantly balanced, harmonious, gently restrained style of pomerol, with fresh acidity and fine, firm, dry tannin; a warm, sweet, generous yet delicately refined fruit that is aromatically complex (one third cabernet Franc), close-knit, long across the palate, and long and fragrant to finish. Sweet and pure, plenty of subtlety, an almost burgundian delicacy and transparency. Its wealth is in its perfume, not its flesh. In the slightly firmer style of 2011 so will need a decade plus. 2024–34+. 17.5
