Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great aromatic race, with cedar notes of remarkable precision and refinement, then dense and svelte on the palate, with the overall impression of great finesse and distinction. Here we happily rediscover the best style of wine from this château, perfectly comparable to famous vintages such as 1953 or 1959. 18

Michael Schuster: Dense, minerally nose; ripe, cedary oak- tinged; nicely balanced, very finely tannic, elegant, and supple wine; ripe in fruit with an attractive Merlot flesh, moderate complexity, and good length. Not a big wine, but very St-Julien, and the third stylish Beychevelle in a row, after many years of underperformance. Very nice early on. 2013–25. 15.5/16
