Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: As is so often the case, the wine was not yet fully formed at this stage. The fruit character still tends to intrude, spoiling the harmony of the wine. But you can tell a lot about it from the extreme delicacy of the aromas and tannins! 17+
Michael Schuster: Marked vanilla oak on the nose; lovely, fresh, elegant, restrained balance with a superfine tannin texture; easy and graceful, with a quite delicious, juicily ripe blackberry and blackcurrant fruit; intense yet delicate, restrained and yet with no lack of matter; a long, naturally fresh, vivacious, fragrant, and effortless quality to this wine, with a long, seductively scented finish. Classically fine, flowing, gracious St-Emilion. Who needs garages! A great success. 2018–35. 17.5/18
