Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A wine that plays to its natural strengths, showing very refined texture, delicate and tender flesh, ultra-silky tannins, and a freshness made more emphatic still by notes of ripe peppers. 17
Michael Schuster: Floral, violet-scented nose with a creamy new oak—typically refined and discreet; very nice balance, a fresh, moderately concentrated Pomerol with a particularly fine tannin texture; long, gentle, freshly sweet and ripe to taste, close-grained and racy behind the light tannin; aromatically complex, with a very nice, mineral, and ripe cherry persistence. Understated, as usual, but full of ripe fruit freshness and fragrance. Touch of austerity, but should be very good. 2016–30. 16.5/17.5
