BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Exotic nose: apricots and pineapple. Broad and fleshy, a touch heavy, with little lift. The acidity is conspicuously low, making this a rather dull dog. Plump and fruit, to be sure, but with little energy. This inevitably extends into the wine’s finish, which is fairly short. 14

Simon Larkin: A burnished hue to the color. The nose exhibits an odd note of baked fruits. The palate lacks purity, an odd mishmash of viscous, muffled, peachy fruit. Seems a little disjointed, as though it was harvested very ripe, yet there is a diffuse character to the fruit on the palate. An ungainly style that is not particularly well knit. Straightforward, correct, but hardly inspiring. 10

Andreas Larsson: Very unctuous and tropical, with sweet yellow fruit and banana aromas; feels like a bit of botrytis and a very late harvest. The palate is a bit more restrained, though: bright and fresh, more on the drier side without residual sugar. Nice persistence and overall balance. 16.5
