Tim Atkin: Dense, very rich color. Appealing, youthful nose for 2004. Class act. Fine acidity, well balanced. Highish alcohol, hint of minerality/reduction, but a complex wine with freshness saving the day. Works despite the high alcohol. 17
Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry. Modern, to the point of excessive, with somewhat astringent tannins but also backed by good fruit. Still, I am not convinced. 14
Alex Hunt: Densely packed on the nose, but relatively fresh and cassis-like. This has good vigor on the palate, too, with well-managed tannin, nicely tuned acidity, and a positive finish. 16.5
