Tim Atkin: Deep color, just starting to show a hint of brick at the rim. Aromatic, savory, very Ribera, very pure. Palate higher in alcohol than I would like, but there’s enough acidity for balance. Fresh acidity and length, slightly soupy fruit, black fruits, well-integrated oak. Touch of VA? 16
Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry. Intense, powerful, a tad hot, but otherwise well structured, with fine tannins that need to be resolved. 15
Alex Hunt: This combines ripeness with grace on the nose. It expresses summer heat, for sure, but not raisins, thankfully. The palate is dense, concentrated, full on, with fairly heavy extraction but a fresh level of acidity that pulls it into focus. This is just the right side of the line. 16
