Tim Atkin: Black, super-dense color. Palate, ditto. Super-concentrated, but this is a caricature of a Ribera: thick, alcoholic and Porty, with masses of alcohol, tannin, and overripe fruit. Decently made but in a very OTT style. 13

Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry. Modern but balanced, chewy tannins; long, fruit-driven, pretty impressive. 16

Alex Hunt: Tarry, even mushroomy on the nose; verging on overripeness, but at the same time fairly interesting. This has appealing fruit density but unappealing overextraction. Very much a curate’s egg of a wine, with a score reflecting the average of good parts and bad parts. 14.5
