Tim Atkin: Garnet/brick-red notes, showing some development. Spicy, focused, intense nose. Medium-weight style, with no intrusive oak; good, ripe, plummy fruit, sweet tannins, and good length. Needs food, but good concentration and focus and length 16.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth, bright, a little evidence of age. Fresh fruit-salady nose, with a hint of scent. Firm tannins and correct acidity, with medium concentration of cherry-blackberry fruit, tannins firm to serious—perhaps a touch too much so for the wine 14

Bruno Besa: Black core to garnet rim. Open, mature nose; layered fruit, with good minerality and hints of spices and Mediterranean herbs. Full body, balanced palate, with big tannins and mature fruit. A big yet balanced wine that should age gracefully 17
