Stephen Brook: Deep red, no brick edges. Sweet lush curranty nose, lovely fruit but seems atypical Nebbiolo. This has surely seen some barrique aging. Medium-bodied, graceful, almost sweet fruit, but also has a whack of acidity on the mid-palate. The tannins are mild, and this could have done with a touch more extraction and grip, but it’s harmonious and elegant modern-style Barolo with excellent length. It won’t give the French a fright - 17

Jancis Robinson: Very dark crimson. Light tarry nose. Very dry start. Leaf mold. But not dramatic. A bit timid. But it grew in the glass and rather blossomed. I think this will come right eventually. Long. Very delicate and rosetasting. Drink 2015–21 - 17
