Nicolas Belfrage: Less again than in other examples, but interesting, almost penetrating nose of character. Lots of classic fruit on palate— seems a cross between modern and traditional style. Well made and drinking early but capable of going for several years. Acid/tannin structure is right on; fruit’s there, well integrated and fine - 16.5
Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Rich, toasty, tarry nose, quite powerful and aromatic. Bold and forthright, highly concentrated and punchy, this pulls out all the stops. It’s a bit overwhelming now, but there’s good underlying acidity to retain some freshness. A dramatic wine, with a full-on personality and an abundance of fruit. Forceful and vigorous, with a long finish - 18
Jancis Robinson: Mid- to dark ruby. Good lift. But a bit stewed and attenuated. Very dry and drying. A shortage of fruit on the mid-palate. Floral but drying. Drink 2014–18 - 14
