AJ | Clear, limpid bright scarlet, translucent and glowing. Juicy, fresh and fruity: lots of fresh cut plum, red apple and pomegranate. Exuberant and attractive, though without the secondary layering that the best of its peers have at this stage. Here too it is a deeply fruity and drivingly fruity wine, a touch warm at the end, but not at all into its secondary processes yet. Gorgeous fruit, however, and fine brisk supporting tannins. Serious stuff which I'm sure will respond to age and perhaps win a higher score at that stage.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2034. 92
BB | Ruby to pink. Refined, complex, chalk, crushed stones, red fruits, leather tar, fresh herbs nose. Balanced palate with big tannins and sweet red fruits, long and super clean finish. Another wine for the cellarDrink Dates: 2030 - 2040. 95
MP | The nose does not promise much with a stewed fruit character, baked cherry, toffee and vanilla. This is a simple and overtly fruity wine with little character, development or future promise. 2nd bottle - on the finish this shows much more authority and depth of flavour with hawthorn, wild strawberry, raspberry, tobacco and liquorice. The finish is bright and lingering.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 92
