Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep color. Brooding, plummy nose. On palate, lean, mean, and somewhat tough, with no great focus and a lack of charm—sour and dry. Either this needs 10 years, its fruit discreetly hidden, or it will never make it. Incline to the former- 12.5:

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny orange rim. Intense nose, with small red fruits, lots of mint-like exuberance, and hints of smoked meat and violets. Medium to full body, with a fragrant, balanced palate and long, slightly green finish. Very young Nebbiolo that may blossom in the next few years 15.5

Jancis Robinson: Very dark crimson, with pale ruby rim. Developed, rather easy, flattering autumnal nose, with some alluring lift on the finish. Then a bone-dry finish. This is quite uncompromising! Cries out for food and doesn’t have quite enough fruit in the middle. Just a tad too dry and dusty. Drink 2016–26 - 15.:
