Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Very lovely spectrum of fruit aromas here as first poured: beautifully poised blackcurrant and black cherry, with a little hint of cologne. It then becomes more earthy, animal, and grassy after a while in the glass, which is a shame. On the palate, this is a soft, elegant, poised, fresh, and aerial red wine: an outstanding effort from this property in this vintage. This wine is all about its core of fruit, and the acids and tannins are perfectly subsumed to that. The core of fruit, moreover, has remarkable complexity and grandeur. This would have merited a higher score still with better sustained aromatic finesse. 2018–28. 92
