Tim Atkin: Dark, inky purple. Did they fortify this by accident? Very low yields, lots of oak, assertive. A wine to admire rather than to enjoy. Rich and Porty, with plum and bramble notes. Alcoholic burn. 13.5

Alex Hunt: Overripe, raisined aromas. The palate shows the hard texture and attenuated flavor of grapes picked too dry and late. 10

Anthony Rose: Deep color. Baked, jammy, and verging on Porty on the nose. Similar strawberry-/blackberry-jam characters on the palate but starting to show dried Amarone-esque fruit, oxidation, and hefty, chunky tannins that make you wonder if it will come out of its shell before it starts to fall apart. 13
