BB | Ruby to pink. Touch developed, earthy, prunes and black cherries, leather, tobacco nose. Sweet fruit, fine tannins, touch overripe palate and moderate finish.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2030. 90
AJ | Dark, inviting black-red Warm, sweet, tender, complete: another of those `19 noses which just captivate with their glow, their ripeness, their friendly allure. Astonishing that a vintage can deliver this so uniformly; no wonder the producers are so happy. Vivacious and concentrated wine in slightly rasping, elemental style. Lots to enjoy nonetheless.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2031. 88
MP | Obviously oaked and scented with clove, cinnamon, liquorice and cocoa, this announces itself with a flourish. There is also Christmas cake, black cherry, cedar, thyme and blackberry. The show continues in the mouth where one finds the ripe tannins and fresh acidity merge with the obvious fruit. Nit-picking though it may be, there's a whiff of volatile acidity and baked fruit on the palate. This is a lovely glass of Brunello but it lacks some polish.Drink Dates: 2027 - 2033. 92
