Stephen Brook: Very muted lime-cordial nose. Bracing attack, good acidity if not much evident botrytis. Lively, vigorous, quite candied; lemon drops, tinned pineapple, but there is an underlying purity that keeps any fruit-salad tendencies at bay. Good length. 18

Margaret Rand: Relatively light and, at first glance, without huge concentration, given that it’s a BA. But the finish is enormous, so the power is there and will emerge. It’s creamy and coffee-flavored, seamless and confident. And the finish lasts forever. 18.5

Jancis Robinson: Muted, honeyed nose with green-leaf acidity—not as integrated as [Dr von Bassermann-Jordan Deidesheimer Kieselberg Beerenauslese]. A bit simple and jagged for the moment. Rather hot finish with some astringency. A bit like a cut green apple at the moment—all crispness but not that much flavor. Drink 2012–20. 17.5
