BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Rich, youthful, good color concentration. Lovely nose: aromatic, intense, yet restrained, hinting at things to come. Palate very ripe, almost figgy with a Priorato-like note of raisin. Big wine, powerful, firm tannins, but excellent structure. Should age further, even if the finish is a little dry. Intermediate. 16.5

Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry with a bright rim. There is fruit and structure here, with elegant menthol aromas, and oak that does not just act as an additive but rather integrates into a powerful structure dominated by acidity. An elegant and long finish. Modern. 17.5

Marcel Orford-Williams: Dark, spicy, closed. Quite rich, full, but with a dry finish. Clumsy. A touch of cedar, which is nice, but the finish is fairly short. No real quality here. New-style. 12
