BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Saturated, super-dense color. Dry, alcoholic, lots of oak. A very concentrated wine, and okay if you like this sort of thing. But where is the freshness, elegance, and balance? Just too much extraction and tannin. Modern. 15

Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry. Excessively extracted, and the fruit may not have been all that great originally. An alcoholic spike, too. Not among the best, I fear. 12.5

Marcel Orford-Williams: Rich. Not short, but not fine either and rather square. Decent, no more. Modern. 14
